One-on-One Counseling
One-on-one counseling involves you and a counselor engaging in an in-depth conversation and getting to the root of your concerns. One-on-one therapy is a vital part of outpatient mental health treatment options.
In our Ohio MHAS-licensed program, certified counselors meet with patients on a regular schedule. In these sessions, patients discuss their concerns as well as their goals and needs. In some cases, patients who are in mental health and substance abuse treatment programs are found to have co-occurring disorders, such as depression, anxiety or a personality disorder. During one-on-one counseling, all aspects of mental health are discussed. In one-on-one counseling sessions, patients also learn the tools they need to cope with triggers and prevent relapse.
Telehealth
Telehealth can be provided to On Demand Counseling clients upon request. Click here for more information.
Telehealth is sometimes preferred over traditional face-to-face counseling. Telehealth can be operated in a variety of ways. Those who do not have transportation or are immobile may benefit from telehealth.
Group Therapy
While less intensive than individual therapy, group therapy is an important tool for anyone who may be in a recovery program. On Demand frequently provides lunch to IOP groups.
In a group therapy session, patients work alongside their peers to identify and overcome obstacles to their recovery. The group mentality provides additional support during a difficult process and can often help patients view their addiction in new ways while learning coping techniques they may not have otherwise discovered.
