On Demand Counseling is hosting Peer Recovery Supporter Training through OhioMHAS. Peer Recovery Supporter Training teaches individuals in recovery from a mental health and/or substance use issue to use their experience to help their peers who are also in recovery.

To be eligible to attend the training, individuals must have a personal lived experience of mental health and/or substance use issues. This means that they are personally in recovery from a mental health and/or substance use issue. Upon successful completion of this 40-hour training, participants with a lived experience will be eligible to apply for certification as a Peer Recovery Supporter in the state of Ohio.

The training will take place at On Demand Counseling in Austintown on Monday, May 9 – Friday, May 13 from 8:30am – 5:00pm.
